Acting in the Play Siraj Ud-Daulah
After joining Bornomala Theatre in 2020, I received an important opportunity in my acting journey. The organization offered me a role in the historical stage play Siraj Ud-Daulah. After I agreed, I was selected for the role and began regular rehearsals. Following weeks of preparation, the play was staged on an evening in 2023 at 7 PM at the Lalmonirhat District Council Auditorium. The performance lasted for approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes, where I acted as one of the performers.
This was my first major historical role on stage, which not only strengthened my connection to theatre but also increased my passion for cultural work. The experience boosted my confidence and helped pave the way for my continued artistic journey.
Acting in the lead role in the drama "Obak Jolpaan"
At the request of the District Shilpakala Academy, Bornomala Theatre prepared a children’s play titled Obak Jolpaan, where I was selected for the lead role. The General Secretary and Director of the theatre, Motiar Rahman, finalized me as the central character, and I began intense rehearsals with the team. After several days of preparation, the play was staged at the Lalmonirhat District Council Auditorium at 7 PM.
The performance received wide appreciation from the audience and created a positive response in the cultural space of Lalmonirhat. This acting opportunity was a milestone for me, as it was my first major lead role in theatre, which later opened the door to performing at the national level.
Obak Jolpaan - National Level Performance
Obak Jolpaan – National Level PerformanceAfter the successful local performances in Lalmonirhat, the play Obak Jolpaan was selected for the 15th National Children’s and Youth Theatre Festival 2024, organized by the Bangladesh Shishu Academy. The play was staged at the Bangladesh Shishu Academy Auditorium, Dhaka, on March 1, 2024.
I performed in the lead role, and for my performance, I was honored with the Best Actor Award. This achievement marked a significant milestone in my acting career and strengthened my skills and confidence on the national stage.
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy's surprise "Obak Jolpan" performance
I had the proud opportunity to perform on a prominent national cultural stage when the children’s play Obak Jolpaan was staged at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Dhaka. The performance took place on February 30 at 8 PM, providing me with a chance to showcase my acting skills at one of the country’s most prestigious cultural venues.
Being part of this performance allowed me to present my work before a national audience and esteemed cultural personalities, marking a significant milestone in my acting career. It was an unforgettable experience that deepened my engagement with Bangladesh’s performing arts scene.
Obak Jolpaan - Repeat Performance in Lalmonirhat
On October 8, 2023, as part of the World Children’s Day and Children’s Rights Week 2023, the children’s play Obak Jolpaan was staged once again at the Sadar Upazila Auditorium, Lalmonirhat, organized by the Lalmonirhat Shishu Academy. I performed in the lead role, marking my fourth time portraying this central character in the play.
This repeat performance provided an opportunity to engage with a local audience and celebrate children’s creativity and rights through theatre. Performing the same lead role multiple times allowed me to refine my acting skills, connect more deeply with the character, and contribute meaningfully to the cultural development of the community.
Being part of these repeated performances is a source of great pride for me and reflects my sustained commitment to theatre and cultural activities in Lalmonirhat.
